Salt Flats Supports Pacific Life’s Brand Promise to Help Clients Achieve Life Goals with Comprehensive Digital Asset Management System Implementation
Pacific Life has been helping clients manage their assets and achieve their life goals for more than 150 years. When leaders from the Retirement Solutions division discovered their internal digital asset management system was not meeting their goals to streamline workflows, eliminate redundancies, and improve creative operations, they called Salt Flats.
Having participated in our metadata and digital asset management workshops, Pacific Life leadership was confident that Salt Flats had the depth and breadth of experience needed to partner with their team and achieve big goals in a short, six-month timeframe, including:
Implementing the full digital asset management functionality of Adobe Experience Manager
Aggregating, organizing, and saving all Retirement Solutions marketing content from the past two years
Customizing a metadata model to ensure digital assets were easily searchable and accessible, Integrating work in progress, print, marketing, and content management system (CMS) tools
Enabling automation with value-added integrations
Utilizing the metadata model, integrations between MarTech systems enabled automation throughout the asset lifecycle
Onboarding and training more than 50 marketing users to set the stage for strong governance and process adherence
By facilitating a series of virtual and in-person collective intelligence workshops, the Salt Flats team helped discover what the ideal future state looked and felt like from a variety of stakeholders. They also identified roadblocks and pain points that required thoughtful navigation.
A project roadmap kept the entire team on task by translating goals into desired actions aligned to future state iterations for Pacific Life’s metadata model, creative operations, and integrations between technologies. With a clear roadmap visual, leadership was able to quickly identify areas where the team needed to focus or pivot to accomplish their goals, and the team quickly translates requirements into technical needs to implement the DAM on time and within budget.
The level of collaboration fueled the team’s progress and reinforced the value of the collective actions to achieve common goals. The Salt Flats team was not just another consulting firm hired to do a task, they were personally vested in the success of the project and every person involved.
